I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if 295s fit in the rear without fender modification, couldn't 315s possibly fit with rolled fenders and perfect offset? Obviously the tire height would be an important factor, and I haven't done much research to see what is offered in this width.

A 305 30r 19 should be identical to the OD of the 255/40 and I have already fit my 275 on my 19x10 with my current offsets and still lots of room. That is why I plan on getting a wider lip for my 3-peice wheels to extend them to a x10.5 and get the 305 action. More importantly, the Porshe GT runs 305's on the rear, so there should be plenty of reasonable take off tires out there to play with. I just found a great set of PS2's for around $500, the cost of a single tire, in nera new shape.

Here are pics from the studio in clear powdercoat. Not too shabby.

Have you done a weight comparison with the OEM piece? Just curious if unsprung weight will increase or decrease.

What kind of noise increase is there with the solid bearing replacing the rubber bushing?

Specs as is are 4.15 lbs with a swing weight of around 1.1lbs. The majority of the weight being in the rod end and end fitting side. I will check stock again once I pull it off. My recollection was a slight increase in overall weight but stock having a higher swing weight due to uniform sheetmetal density throughout. The noise should be minimal if at all noticable, at least this was the case with the previous IS. The Teflon lining in the rod end takes any metal on metal interaction away and the subframe spacers absorb the majority of the high frequency noise that would conduct as a result of the very thin rubber bushing being replaced.

Arms and toe links are installed today. Took me about 4 hours. 3 for the first side plus fatty tires test fitment and then an hour on the other side. The toe is off as I took it around the block so I need to site align it tomorrow. Taking it to the rack on Mon or Tuesday.
Also verified stock arms weigh 4lbs 3oz with a swing weight of 2lbs.

I run BC Racing coilovers, shown in the first pic. The factory x9 will not fit this wide a tire. Just for comparison, here are the two side by side.

you may be able to squeeze a 285 on the factory wheels in a ps2, only because the sidewalls are very soft. This is the only reason the 305's look reasonable on my x10 where Michelin calls for a 10.5 min. But it will vary quite a bit from tire to tire and construction as well as the real section width vs the spec.

Yesterday was the first time I got the arms on and I still need to test them extensively before release.

And got it on the rack today. I was pretty damn close via sight, just a little toed out about .1 degrees negative. Pretty happy with these settings. Bump steer is non existent and the car tracks really well. Drifts do not feel like the rear is tucking anymore and I seem to hold traction better out of the hole. I have one slight interference still due to the adjustability on the outer mount. The axle hub hits a little but I can go back in and free up some space on the arms with a die grinder. Production version will have this fixed.

The LCA eccentric that I added adjusts about 1.5 degrees of camber. The toe links are approx 1" longer than stock so that is why the bump steer is nearly eradicated. Another plus this allows you to run with the inner mount all the way in which makes the arc length even longer.

And now I have my endlinks in test as well. So far so good guys. Will probably wrap up testing at the 5K mile mark... another few weeks.
