Default First Impressions In The Rain

Well as all you fellow California F drivers know, its been a wet and wild few days in Southern California. I use my F as a daily driver and what I realized in these few days, is that the F is an amazing car in the rain. This car believe it or not, drives just as good in heavy rain, as it does on a nice clear day. Good job Lexus...the stability control is simply awesome!

yup, much agreed! handles well, and the rain sensing windshield wipers sure come in handy. and ive noticed that the grip whenever i need to brake is just as hard on the wet asphalt- great performance during the rain indeed.

My auto sensing wipers don' work for ****. Need to get it in and looked at, esp will all the rain we are having. I'll have it in Auto mode and the wipers will not move even with the windshield covered with rain. I give the little sensor box next to the rear view mirror a little jiggle and all of a sudden the wipers start moving. Annoying.\

I too have noticed the car handles really well in the rain and this is with 13,000 miles on the PS2's.

Sorry to be "Captain Obvious" here guys but a cars performance in the rain is more an attribute to the tires than the car... My guess is 99% tires, 1% car....

^much agreed. the roads become much more slick, making for a great riding experience IMO. i like those mornings after heavy rainfall, as was the case on saturday morning here. it just felt like the PS2's gripped even better.

Like the percentages mean anything, lol. The integrated stability control system does a lot to keep modern cars from spinning, a "Captain Obvious" remark.

99.9% maybe, due to rounding error.

The F does very well in wet weather despite having 416hp and summer tires. It's stable on the wet freeways and even local driving.

We have wipers? I'm not sure if mine works because I have never used them before. My F is a rain virgin and I intend to keep her that way.
