Not true. The rear subframe part number is unchanged. They changed some of the links, but not the subframe itself.

Thanks Lobux....So does that mean that should someone come across a front-end totaled 2011 ISF they should be able to make a direct swap of the diff and rear subframe into an 08-10 F?

Ah ok I must have heard wrong then. Do you know what all the changes to the suspension were?

Only what's documented in the service manual. I don't have a friend in Lexus parts who would be willing to identify all the changed pieces from '10 to '11. If I did, I'd probably just buy them, but since I'd like the Torsen too, buying the whole rear subframe and bolting it in sounds a lot more appealing.

This was in the C/D article:

Lexus has since tweaked all suspension elements. Spring rates are down in the front and up in the rear, and there are larger anti-roll bars, stiffer subframe bushings, and longer bump stops, which effectively increase spring rates when the car is nearing its maximum roll angle. Lexus also lightened the front hubs and control arms and slapped a Torsen limited-slip differential in the rear axle.

I don't trust magazine articles to get this stuff right. I've seen it screwed up too many times. I'll believe it when I go to Lexus and see different part numbers.

If I believed the magazines, I'd still think the Supra TT had a small and a large turbo in the stock twins setup, and the purely cosmetic wing makes 90 lbs of downforce at 80 mph.

C&D screws up the details more than I'd even care to mention.

That is true. That's probably where I got my different mounting points idea from too.

Price increased about $150, compared to last years price...

99.99 % sure this is a direct swap.

Wouldn't it be great if the Torsen Diff from the MKIV Supra was a direct swap into the IS-F? Those diffs can be found cheap used...Darshana S..

No doubt. I already thought of trying to bolt the whole unit in, but it's clearly a no go. Very different sizing. I'd be happy with just being able to swap the spool, but there's not enough information in the service manuals to determine this before pulling a couple of them apart.

man that pricing is crazy. seems like someone could create a knockoff and still make money at this...maybe there isn't enough volume?

that and it's not easy to make a "knockoff" of this part...

More importantly, do you WANT a knockoff LSD??
