HELP! I think I blew up my DRL/High beam fuse!
I tried installing the DRL LED upgrade from VLEDS and this is what happened. I only connected one on the driver side and left the passenger side untouched. I started the car, it lit up for like 2 seconds and then it goes off. Did the fuse or something blew up? Because now both DRLs (upgrade and stock) aren't working. Plugged in the bulb to the wiring with the yellow band, module's wire to the stock wire. Turned on all lights, high beam, drove around, restarted the car a few times, still nothing.
I contacted V-LEDS and they told me to test it with OEM, a different aftermarket 9005 bulb, test the DRL upgrade bulb without the relay. If it doesn't work, maybe the highbeam fuse was blown at the engine compartment. Any idea how I can fix this because I'm a total noob at this thing.
Take it to Lexus? I changed out my intake and parking lights. That means the warranty is voided? I can change out all my parking lights and DRL to OEM, but the intake is gonna be a b****h.

calm down anson89. just put everything back to stock and leave the intake. the intake should not cause any damage to electrical stuff so it shouldn't void ur warranty unless they can prove it did which is pretty stupid if they did try. put the lights back to stock and take her in to the dealer. if its just a fuse u shouldn't worry that much.

So I went to the dealership today, once again, a bunch of BS. They found out I have a aftermarket HID kits on the fogs and 8k on the lows. They told me put everything back to stock and they'll diagnose it for $300. For that amount of money, it's just not worth it to fix my DRL/high beams. Any other options? I've tried calling V-LEDs, those guys won't pick up.

Please help? It's really frustrating to see 98 views, having the dealer throw me a $300 BS fix on my high beams, letting my $120 DRL LED sit in the garage for 2 weeks and not a single solution here.

it should be the interior fuse either under the passenger seat or underhood...
if you look at the fuse after you pull it out, you will see the metal piece blown up and seperated
Edit: i didnt know it was your highbeams. i thought you were talking about interior lights... but still highbeam lights should be in somewhere in the fuse boxes....

YEAH! TELL ME ABOUT IT! Vleds claim it to be 3x brighter than the original ones, so it's a little more expensive. And this happened... still the same problem. Not even fixed. I'm just gonna give up, unless someone helps me out here.

So I just saw this post and decided to pull a wiring schematic for the vehicle. It would appear that the fuse for the high beams and the DRL's are NOT listed on the same fuse, wondering if the OP is confusing the two... Anyways, the fuse you are looking for will be in the drivers side of the engine compartment, and "should be" a 15 amp fuses it should be marked "H-LP" , it is possible that it could be a 30 amp fuse but I doubt it, thats a really high number for just high beam lights. Get a pair of needle nose pliers and pull each fuse ONE AT A TIME and look at the fuses until you find one which is burnt in the center area of the fuse, IT WILL BE OBVIOUS when you find it! Just remember 1 fuse at a time, it would be impossible for even a "NOOB" such as yourself to screw that up!
