the bottom needs to be enclosed by the bumper still if you don't want to cut it.

Not a fan at all...it looks like something the new Camero has.

I like the shape. Matches the opening. Just needs to be smaller and without the center piece.

I dunno. Somehow the symmetry wouldn't be right with the F being 'more' boxy looking. I think quad pipes with dual, horizontally leveled, wouldn't look too bad, but then it wouldn't be the unique look that the F's got...

This is still a good thread because this concept has been plaguing me as well. I have everything scanned into CAD and trying to create a mass appeal product is neraly impossible. I may just have to say F it and go with what I like...that has worked well in the past

The point I want to get across is the exhaust tip style / size. That tip was custom made in a straight-cut type stainless steel. For the IS-F I want to go with a thicker rolled tip look.....

Wow... this thread was a blast from the past. Sorry to hijack your thread but I remember seeing your car year after year at the DSM Shootout in Ohio. If I recall correctly your last name was Koh and you lived in Chicago then? I had a 98 Silver GSX back then before I moved on to Supras.

Small world we both have ISF's now

Anyways back on topic... I have thought about this topic as well and have thought that an LS460 type exhaust tip or Porsche Cayenne S type tip would look good here as well.

IMO, stock tips are best for now... i think there might be an better option if F gets an new rear bumper to utilize different type of exhaust

^i agree! its hard to create a different look for the F, as once you see them, you immediately KNOW its an F. I like the oval looks simply because they're practically the same as the "L" emblem. some people dont like it because they're not connected to the piping, but its unique, and i can always appreciate that.
