The car only had 300 miles on it,when I called the dealer. I actually emailed the service manager a link with a thread from this site of others talking about the problem. They told me at first that they have not heard of this problem. Once they read that other dealers were correcting the issue. I think that is when they stepped up. So how many miles do you have on the new wheels and are the new ones pitting too? Have you changed brake pads to another brand? What will you do to prevent the new wheels from pitting?

I am not going to say that it is not pitting, but try cleaning with a clay bar. I clean mine once every two weeks and I still don't have pitting, but I do have what you have shown in the pics and the clay bar fixs it right up.

I just got them put on today the dealer is about 40 miles away. Brake pads are still stock. I was told to wax them a couple times a month and that would help. I guess I will have to stay on top of them by wiping them off more frequently. Either way you look at it, its going to be a PITA. Anybody got any suggestions????

My local dealership in Houston (Westside Lexus) had replaced all four wheels for a former is-f owner here a few months ago. I went in the week after for the same issue and they would not replace mine. They found it was getting costly to replace so they hired a wheel repair guy to come out and refinished mine. They look just like brand new again and saved the dealership $7k+.

Start by going to a ceramic brake pad ,I went with Carbotech . It will cut down on dust but I have to say that is some pretty bad pitting. My car has 4.5K and my wheels do not look that bad.
