Default G8 GXP or IS-F

Hello IS-F owners I've always wondered what you people thought about the G8 GXP a 415 horsepower beast that does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. The IS-F however does it in 4.8 Which an IS350 has actually beaten. Here is that video.

Anways the point of this is which would you choose? If you needed a performance car and you had to chose between these which would you choose?

Umm several publications like Road & Track have the IS-F doing it in 4.2 sec and more to the point WHY would you want a car made by a company that has been axed by GM? More to the point why would ANYONE want a Pontiac over a Lexus? Ugly and Pontiacs are built like crap...

i have driven both also.... Not being biased. I would buy a IS-F. So much tighter as a performance car as well as the power behind it. Also, feels alot more luxurious. LAST, lexus isnt going out of business. If there was a problem with your Pontiac I would be worried about finding parts.... etc.

My wife and I at one time each owned a Chevy Malibu. After that I will never own another GM product. They are cheaply built and their fit and finish is usually lacking

No offense but you come on a IS-F forum to ask owners of an F if they would buy a Pontiac over a Lexus. I think you are going to find, No Way.

hmm, whatever rocks your boat man, if you like the Pontiac, go for it. I like the lexus more cause its more gas efficient, its smoother, its nicer in the interior. I've never been in a g8 but do they have the Mark Levinson stereo? back up camera with the navi, the two mirror tilt down when going in reverse? the adaptive hid headlights? Im getting 25mpg on the highway with this v8, how about the G8, im talking about real life miles, not that bs epa rating. I like my 6 piston brembos, what does the G8 have? how about the 19inch bbs made rims? Yeah, the isf is expensive but the g8 isnt that much cheaper, besides, you get it all back when you trade it in. how much do you think the G8 is worth in 3 years compared to an IsF? The only advantage the G8 have over the F is SIZE. Its one comfy car I bet compared to a more cramped IsF..

And do you honestly believe that an IS350 making 116hp less then the IS-F can get to 60 faster? I am now kicking myself for even responding to your query.

if you are seriously asking that question, you should get the Pontiac.

not like you're the only person who thinks this way...

The only bonus I would say the GXP has is the ability to mod the crap out it with ease. That motor has huge aftermarket support. Otherwise I would not compare it to the IS-F. Totally different types of cars.
