I always stick with OEM. Don't fix what's not broken. Never see any issues.

Does the 2UR-GSE use crush washers for the oil plug? If so, anybody have the part number?

Yes. I bought a bag from the grey market seller. Same part does same thing and have been using them for 4 years now.

BUT the oem # is 90430-12031

For the record I use the A4 filter.

I buy my filters & crush washers in bulk from Amazon.com.

In light of reading the extremely long threads about Blackstone’s shortcummings and all the filler talk I’m wondering if there’s a general consensus on the best filter for the ISF. Is it the wix? If so Which one the regular or the xp?

I just stick with the OEM Toyota filter. Even in my MR2 in its high powered state, still just run OEM Toyota filter

I bought a couple of the WIX 57041XP filters because I read the above link back in 2017, I believe you were the one who replied to me in that thread . Looking at the WIX site, it states that the 57310 filter is made of cellulose and the 57041XP one is made synthetically.

The applications for 57041XP are:

LEXUSLS 600H2016 - 2016V8 5.0L 4968cc
LEXUSLX 5702008 - 2018V8 5.7L 5663cc 345
TOYOTALAND CRUISER2008 - 2018V8 5.7L 5663cc
TOYOTASEQUOIA2010 - 2013V8 4.6L 4608cc
TOYOTASEQUOIA2008 - 2018V8 5.7L 5663cc
TOYOTATUNDRA2011 - 2011V6 4.0L 3956cc
TOYOTATUNDRA2010 - 2018V8 4.6L 4608cc
TOYOTATUNDRA2007 - 2017V8 5.7L 5663cc

and the applications for 57310 are:

LEXUS GS F 2016 - 2018 V8 5.0L 4969cc
LEXUS IS F 2008 - 2015 V8 5.0L 4969cc
LEXUS LC 500 2018 - 2018 V8 5.0L 4969cc
LEXUS RC F 2015 - 2018 V8 5.0L 4969cc

I am going to run Amsoil SS 5w30. What oil are you using? I also recall Daniel thinking that one filter was made for dino oil and the other one was made for synthetics as per applications used.

Has anyone tried the Denso 1503023? Alternate oem part numbers give it a match.

Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 0415231080, 0415238020, 0415251010, 04152YZZA3, 04152YZZA4

I bought a couple of the xp’s As well. Why do you think they aren’t the recommended filters for our cars? Rather the non xp are.

The XP has plastic end caps, that would slightly limit flow in a high rpm situation(the normal 57310 doesn't). The IS-F has a 5000 mile OCI, and a performance engine. If you are at the track, flow is significantly more important than microscopic filtration. If you like to use the engine to its potential, flow is likely still more important. If you use your IS-f as a daily driver, and extend OCI's greater than 5000 miles, and go easy on the throttle, the XP may be the better choice. Most high performance filters(i.e. track/racing use) stick to cellulose media over synthetic from what I've seen.

I've used the wix 57310 since 2009 and don't plan on switching.

So does the TRD Oil Filter PN PTR43-00081 that is recommended for the ISF. Only difference is the end caps are zink steel. See attachment. I really don't think they limit flow.
