Part# 04152-51010
It must be special if it's only made for the IS F / RC F / GSF applications

The OEM part number is listed by the Tech & Parts book.. Period..!!
People can make their own choices as necessary..
Unless you're going to tell me Lexus egineers are using the wrong part number on the IS F / RC / GS F

And I pay for Used Oil Analysis that clearly shows there is no reason to spend more than the YZZA4 filter costs to the point Blackstone even comments how my filtration is working really well.

The 04152-51010 filter was used in the 04152-38020 kit (drain valve) which Toyota originally spec'd for the LX 570 and Land Cruiser. Toyota USA has superseded these vehicles to 04152-YZZA4 kit. FWIW.

Toyota oil filters aren't even made by Toyota, they're contracted out and outsourced. Typically a manufacture makes oil filters for several different companies. For example, Royal Purple and Amsoil oil filters are made of the same media material and manufactured by Champion Labs. Mobil 1 and K&N oil filters are exactly the same, and both are also made by Champion Labs...but the media material is different than what is used on the RP and Amsoil filters. Don't believe me, cut them open...theyll look near identical internally.
I remember the Lexus V8 oil filters made in Japan that fit the Supra(but not designated for it). It had a sponge type media that was exactly the same as the $25 TRD oil filter. Supra owners were all over them, yet they weren't designed for that engine...but the TRD part number was. They changed the OEM part number and they were now being made in the US I believe, but when you cut them open they had regular paper media and not the special sponge media that everyone thought was gold. Now it felt like a rip off, and the Japanese oil filters were discontinued. Even the TRD filters no longer had the sponge type media. Today these Lexus V8 filters are made in Thailand. Anyways...nobody here can tell you if the Lexus/Toyota oil filters are good or bad cause they don't come with no micron rating to see how well they filter. So you can't say one is better than the other if you don't even know the specs they are rated at.

The RP and Amsoil EA filters are the same as the TRD. RP does't offer the larger filter for the V8 vehicles. The TRD filter can be had for $9 and change... it's a vey good deal for the overbuilt style. K&N changed away from the design of the M1 unit, K&N is now built like the stock filter. The M1 is built by Champion, and is like the TRD/Amsoil, but has filter media design like stock. The M1/TRD/Amsoil all use metal end caps and a metal support tube. The TRD/Amsoil also have wire mesh supporting the media. Though there is only about 1/2 the media as compared to the M1, the media is very different in the TRD/amsoil, so I do not know how much it can hold. I can tell you the techs at my local Toyota dealer see many of the stock filters in slight/partial collapse, and a few fully crushed. These are likely due to the extended drains... but the wire backed filters are beginning to look better all the time.
