Ran a 12.55@113.49 at TX2K9...
I was able to make a few passes in the IS-F at the TX2K9 drag day yesterday and ran a best of 12.55@113.49
Details on the slip:
60' - 1.9889
330' - 5.4096
1/8 ET - 8.1838
1/8 MPH - 90.00
1/4 ET - 12.5510
1/4 MPH - 113.49
I had a blast and am impressed with the IS-F as for a family car it sure does well! I had the car FULL weight (and then some) and I believe Pat ran a best of 12.67 today but I do think he had his spare out as well as everything else out of the car. I think I had a 12.49 in her with everything taken out...oh well, maybe next time!

Peter,
I had my spare tire in, only it was around my waist. Since I probably outweigh you by close to 40 pounds I consider it equal.
If I could have gotten traction under maximum launch I think I could have gotten down to 12.5 or below.

On a run when I went 113.67 mph, my splits were as follows:
60' = 2.068
330'= 5.5638
1/8 mile = 8.3989
1/8 mile = 87.65 mph
1/4 mile = 12.8315
1/4 mile = 113.67 mph
@ 114.68 mph 1/4 mile times were
60' = 2.2653
330' = 5.7512
1/8 = 8.5660
1/8 = 87.36 mh
1/4 = 12.9617
1/4 = 114.68
Best time of 12.68
60' = 2.0219
330' = 5.4525
1/8 = 8.2673
1/8 = 89.30
1/4 = 12.6844
1/4 = 112.39

Those are all good ET's, and the trap speeds are about the same, so they are making about the same horsepower. Good on you both! Very quick and fast cars.

Great runs guys - but I suspect your DA wasn't optimum. Maybe a few hundred feet above sea level. Also, I notice that it's hard to launch on PS2s. I had my best launches on RE050 (1.90-1.92) actually and PS2s were usually about 1.96-1.99 with stock rims. Maybe it's the lighter rims? But even with drag radials with the same 18" rims, I could only mange 1.94. Maybe the VHT is variable on a day to day basis at GLD.
It does seem like you guys are trapping about 2 mph higher than stock IS-Fs though which is about 20 hp?
With the additional 20 hp I think we might see a 12.2 run and more 12.3 runs in 2009!

I red lighted on my second run. My RT was 0.4997 seconds. We also failed to mention that the Lone Star Drag Strip runs north to south and we were running into a 10-15 mph wind all day. We will keep working on it. I do believe that sometimes within 2009 at least one or two of the members will get down into the 12.2 range and break 116 mph.
Like you suggested several months ago, my best speed was when I let it hit the rev limiter.
I did try a run in automatic. My time was a 13.04 at 110+ mph. All other times were in manual with all nannies off.

We both have Joe Z exhaust and Intake tube.
I have tune, Peter doesn't. Tune is susposed to be revised now that I have exhaust and intake. Runs too rich at WOT above 5,000 rpm. Is in the 12.2 - 12.4 A/F ratio, should be 13.2 - 13.6 A/F ratio.

it's time i get back into the game.. lol
glad to hear new is-f records were set at that track. i hope by next year someone can break into high 11's without boost or spray.

Pat - you did great! I think that our cars are basically identical (heck, they dyno within 2-3 rwhp of one another!!!). You trapped so well (114+) on that one run due to the fact that you spun like crazy outta the hole...it's reflected in your 60 ft time and in your ET. In any case, I think both cars have a 12.4 in them under better conditions. The head wind and the humidity didn't help our cause. I think the DA was in the 1,000-1,500 range that day...
Reciprocal - my goal was not reaction time as I wasn't racing against anyone except for the clock. Havind said that, I was still able to cut several 0.5xxx and 0.6xxx lights...
Tooth - yes, I have PS2's and they were NOT easy to launch on, but I did ok as my worst 60 ft. was 2.0xx.......we are both indeed trapping faster than stock, but keep in mind that we both have the Joe Z intake and exhaust so we should be slightly faster than stock. I would say 20-25 rwhp is about right based on our dyno results.
BigMike - as mentioned by Pat, we both have Joe Z intake and exhaust but Pat has the MHP tune on top of that...
ag - my best trap before the mods was in the 111 range, but I don't remember exactly. As for gas, just premium outta the pump, nothing special.
cayman - sure you can add me...you have my slip breakdown listed in my first post, track was Lonestar Motorsports Park, mods are only Joe Z intake and exhaust, gas level was just about 1/2 tank and I was FULL weight. Nothing was removed. As for the vid, I will check it out when I get home tonight as I can't open youtube at work.

Houston I've added you guys and the approximate DA for you all was +1000ft. I'd need your exact time of the best run for a more accurate DA calc so I just took the median for the day. By looking at things I'd say you are both running about 1.5-2/10ths quicker than stock.
afterthought: Considering a head wind, full exhaust and intake is yielding 1.5-2/10ths I'd have to venture under some cool weather, traction and moderate weight reduction ie (spare/fuel level/mini battery) 11.9's should be possible.
