Default Tx2K9 Track Day at MSR was a "BLAST"

Just got home from Peter's Track Day at Motor Sports Ranch south of Houston. Great Day. We were able to get in (4) 30 minute sessions for experienced drivers and beginners. The F performed quite well on the 2.38 mile track. During the last session I was following a Viper and stayed with him lap after lap.

Many awsome cars there. Many twin turbo Supras, Corvettes (up to over 800 rwhp, several Vipers, only BMW a 2004 M3 fully race prepared, a really ripped Subaru WRX (very very fast), a new red GTR (very quick), and two ISFs. No new BMW M3s. The strangest car there was an older Chevy Camero with a turbocharged Supra engine. Sounded really strange when you expect to here a V8.

I have a bunch of pictures of the cars, but not running the course. I will try to download them tonight and put them on the site (if I can figure how)

Very nice, good to see our members tracking their F!

If anybody in the Southeast wants to do something similar, click on the image link in my signature for details.

Wow, looks like a great event guys! Quite a few nice cars out there, and I'm glad to hear the F performed really well! How did those Porsche's do if you don't mind me asking?

The most radical Porsche G3 (the silver one) had a problem. For some reason, he had a backfire into the intake blew off some flexible connectors (similar to backfire blow out doors on superchargers). The owner said that because of their location, the engine would have to be removed before they could be reinstalled. That ended his day.
