Default Problems programing my Homelink

Anyone else having problems?

I read the manual and did everything correctly and still it didn't program.

I have a Genie Garage opener. I reset the rolling code and was able to reprogram a Genie Garage Opener Switch countless times...

But when it came to my Lexus nothing.

- I pressed the Training button.
- I pressed the HomeLink Button1, 2 times and then a 3 third time and nothing.

I also tried erasing the Homelink completely and trying again and no luck.

So I then just reprogramed my regular Genie remote again and it worked...

What am I doing wrong?! Its a rolling code garage opener... so I can't hold the remote and the homelink switch together... I've already tried.

I'm fustrated...

Lightbulb For the Rolling Codes

Ok

So now...

Hold the remote and homelink button down till the light on the review mirror blinks/flashes in a different pattern..

Then go and hit the learn button once on the garage opener and then go and press & hold the same homelink button again until the either the garage light flashes or the door opens/closes..

Should take no more than 1 minute.. I promise

Keep the car clear of the garage door..

Yup that's how I'd do it too. Need the original remote.

What you are describing is crazy...but I'll try that to get mine to work. I was resigned to the fact of always using just the regular G-door opener (followed the manual, talked with Lexus, talked with Homelink...but nothing). Hope this crazy way works.

I just did mine the other day and that's exactly how the manual says but Joe Z's was better put. Those things can be a pain in the ***.
