Is it just me or are the guys with headers and exhaust not getting as good times as the stock guys. I think I saw a best time for stock at 12.3 and for modified with exhaust or headers a 12.0. Doesn't seem like headers and exhaust is making much of a difference in times?

There is a difference. I've been logging my runs and stock with a -1043 Density altitude I ran a best of 12.44@116. Headers and exhaust with a -892 Density Altitude I ran a best of 11.87@almost 120mph. So i'm confident there is about a half second difference and at least 3mph gain.

Last night I finally had a chance to go back to the track to see if I would get any improvement from the mods. Usually this track is well prepped but unfortunately last night it wasn't. It was pretty bad and I even did a 360 in one of the runs. My brother got it on video and I also had an inside cam but I won't post it lol. Needless to say, of the five runs I did, I couldn't get a clean launch and the times were disappointing. I tried feathering the throttle and all but it just wouldn't hook so I resorted to short shifting first and second on my last run. I've had better launches in the street than last night at the track.
Base run with Borla cat back a few years ago.
Mods: Sikky headers, borla exhaust, RR Racing tune, light weight wheels wrapped in 245/275 Michelin PSS.
Left was my first and best run. Even though I spun the car kept a straight line and I didn't have to feather the throttle as much. The rest of the runs the car tried to get sideways. The video is from this run
Right was my last run. I short shifted first at about 4500 rpm and second at about 6000 rpm.

I definitely need more practice launching the car with the added power. I can't no longer just mash the pedal like a few years ago.
Edit:
I just took it to the dyno and more disappointments. It was a dynojet. 1 st pull in 6 th gear it made 307hp, second pull in 5 th gear it made 329hp and the 3rd pull in 4th gear it made 362hp.
Edit:
After reviewing the videos from the runs, I realise that I actually got six runs in. I uploaded videos from the first and last runs and two of the least scary spins to show how bad the track was. The other two videos were the 360 spin and another close call but I won't upload those. I'm sorry for the quality.

I took the F to the track yesterday with a buddy and was able to get a new best, even with a DA of +800ft! Pretty happy the car was able to run this time without a killer DA. Mods are PPE Headers and Joe Z Exhaust.

One thing I'm curious about and am def going to experiment with next week at the track is if it's beneficial to shift early in 4th around 6k so I'm not bouncing off the rev limiter going through the finish.

What do you have for mods? That's a great time/mph especially at newengland Drag way. I need to get back there
#583
Ppe headers, borla, tune and the usual weight reduction stuff. With the tune I'm bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th which made me curious about shifting early to 5th.

I made a trip back up to NE dragway tonight and what do you know I got traction this week. Had 5-6 runs hot lapping all 11.9xx. My best run of the night was an 11.931 had a ton of mid 1.8xx 60' as well. The run I posted with the 11.8 was a gtr we had a few awesome runs. On that one in particular I thought I won but only on R/T lol I was so excited. All and all this tune 100% works.
