Went to the track again, got a little better and ran the best time so far , im all stock , except secondary cats removed , i took spare and that out of the trunk and ran with 1/4th of the tank .... It was in Bradenton FL 84 degrees , pressure 30,6 in and 78% humidity ..... I run hard Dunlop tires 265s i give them a light burnout and launch at 1800-2000rpms ( hook up pretty good) , i run manual gear at around 7000rpms (slight bounce of the limiter) , traction off , sport on ..... Any sugestions how to break into 12s? Cause it seems to me pretty slow .....

don't stall the car up. just launch off of idle.

I've read through this entire thread and it's incredibly helpful. I'm in the market for a 2011+ ISF, but based on what I'm seeing, it sure seems like the 2010+ ISFs are solid .3 and 3mph slower than the 2008-2009. Am I off my rocker here? I currently have a 2012 WRX with a Stage 1 tune running 13.0s@104mph. I'm a little reluctant to pull the trigger on a 2011+ ISF if in most hands it's merely a 13.0-13.3@107-109mph car. I could add a header and downpipe to my WRX and go 12.7-12.9@108-109mph. I know my WRX's advantage is largely in the 60 foot and I'm definitely not trying to troll. I just hopeful a few can chime in and tell me I'm wrong with my assessment.
And yes, I'm fully aware of DA considerations and some of the "favorable" strips in this country (i.e. ATCO and Cecil in the fall and winter, HRP, and a couple tracks in Canada).
Lastly, why are people routinely being told to graze the limiter on shifts? In most cars, hitting the limiter (to any extent) slows you down.

I'm currently in the market for a 2011+ ISF to replace my 2012 WRX with a basic Stage 1 tune. I'm trolling here at all, but it sure seems to me that the 2010+ cars are average .3 and 3mph slower than the 2008-2009 cars. Through my research, I've also heard rumbling indicating the same and even the mags noted that the 2011+ models seemed to be a bit slower (though were low mileage).
And yes, I fully understand DA calculations, favorable strips in the fall/winter (i.e., Atco, Cecil, a couple of the Canadian strips, HRP), impacts of 60 and shallow/deep staging, etc. I have hundreds upon hundreds of 1/4 mile passes under my belt.
I guess I'm just looking for some assurance that the 2011+ cars are not that much slower than the 2008-2009 cars. I really do like the ISF, but I'm a bit concerned that it won't be much faster than my WRX which does 13.0s@104mph.

Went back up to New England dragway and was very happy to break into the 12.4's. The 11.2 is my buddies 2015 m3 tuned with race gas.

I took my car to the 1/8th of mile and run my best time ever. This time I had my stock wheels with MPSS instead of light weight wheels with all seasons. My mods are secondary cats removed and no mufflers. This time I had a little more than a 1/4 tank of gas vs last time that it was almost empty.
I need some better tires but I don't want to get drag radials. I want something that I can drive in every day. Most of my other passes were 8.7s with lower 86mph trap speeds

Is it just me or are the guys with headers and exhaust not getting as good times as the stock guys. I think I saw a best time for stock at 12.3 and for modified with exhaust or headers a 12.0. Doesn't seem like headers and exhaust is making much of a difference in times?
