went to the track tonight in the is-f and won 4-5 races against fairly evenly matched cars. Best run of the night was 12.89@110.4. Not too shabby for bone stock. Last run of the night was against a bmw 135i that was tuned. The owner said he was making 400whp and a little more wtq. It must have been on a high reading dynojet or something, anyways, I ended up beating him by 2 hundredths of a second! He tried to act all cool about it after but I could tell he was a little pissed about loosing, hehe. Car was set up exactly how I drive on the street with the spare in and a half tank of gas. Didn't do a burnout any of the runs but the track was sticky so only lost a little traction. I will go back after my borla/ppe install

Just wondering how people are launching as far as foot to pedal technique. My first 2 runs were in the high 12s and I took my right foot off the brake and nailed the gas. My next few runs were in the 13.1 range but the only thing i did different was keep the left foot on the brake and have the car revving up a little bit at the same time. Maybe its just coincidence but i feel like using both feet was hurting me. My 60' times were a bit slower with 2 feet as well.

Were you losing traction more when you were loading up the tq convertor compared to just from idle RPMs?

I had a terrible wheelspin the entire time. I have stock 255s with like 20% thread left... the car barely hooked up. I honestly think with better tires i could have done 12.5 or even 12.4xx

The way I launched it was one foot on the brake, one foot on the gas, dump the gas all the way to the floor at last yellow light on the tree. It spun thru entire 1st, chirped second and was good from that point on.

still happy with my dyno result even though it was so humid and hot, also, i reset my battery and only driven 13 miles to the dyno to have this done, i hope it didn't affect my power. only have the joe z exhaust and intake pipe.

Are my dyno numbers ok? I have Joez intake pipe, ppe headers, and iss forged des exhaust. This was on 91 octane and it was quite hot at 90 F when It was on the dyno.

Depending on the dyno, octane and temp should be at or above 400+ rwhp. Sounds about right but a tad on the low side but it's just a gage. Hit the strip. Good times.

Can't wait to head back to the track this summer, my personal best was 12.7 with LSD and ET Streets. The car will be going back to the shop in one weeks time to finish the modifications. PPE headers, (Borla exhaust and joe Z intake pipe already done), BC Coilovers with swift spring upgrade and rear lower Sikky sway bar. Hoping to come close to cayman and toothdocs times. I will follow up once the mods are completed.

Mine was also hot and on a DJ in CA(sig). Your numbers seem perfectly inline given dyno to dyno and many other variables.

mid-low 12's at the strip.

I just got back from the track and boy am I disappointed. Last time I was there I ran a 12.7, 60' was 2.0. Only mods were LSD and ET Streets. Temp that day was most likely sitting around 10degreesC

Since then, I have done my intake, headers and exhaust and the best time I could pull off was a 12.8. 60' 2.0. Temp was 24 degreesC. I also removed spare and tools this time. I don't know what's up. Can anybody shed some light?
