Pat,

As far as install, it's not plug-n-play. It does require wire modification. I'm not good at wiring things, so I just had my Lexus dealership install it. They said they had to create new wire harnesses for both doors...is this true???...I don't know. Anyway, it you or someone you know is fairly adept at electrical work, I'm sure it's not very hard to do. I just get peace of mind by having it installed at the dealership...however, there is a price to pay $$$$. Oh well, pay to play!!

This promotion remains to be valid. We still have a few dozen in stock with the blue illumination. And just to reiterate, it's only the 2006 base model IS (no sport pkg or luxury pkg) will require the additional wiring (just two wires). The sill plates also work with the IS-F and the same applies.

Pole Position
Should be able to pick up the same wiring that turn on the interior lights when the door is opened. Probably have to run two wires from the connection points to each door sill.
I'm pretty handy with electrical stuff so I think I will not have much difficulty wiring these.

If the F has the same "issues" as the 06 model IS's (where you have a plug under the sills already, but it isn't plug and play), then there should be some DIY's for the door sills in the ISx50 forums.
For mine, I just tapped into the back of the dome light switch for the respective front doors. IIRC, you just need to tap for the POWER/TRIP wire, as the ground is actually connected to plug under the factory plastic sills.
But, again, search the ISx50 forum to make sure.
edit: sorry, wrong link....should be this one--

That's neat, the only problem is you have to drive with the door open for others to enjoy
Don't know if you guys have seen an Audi R8 lately but those look nice from the front, it's like they are celebrating xmas every day, I got that pic from their site... Awesome car by the way, too bad it's not as capable as the GTR for those who want to spend $100K.
