i searched for similar info and i found chikken have DIY and some picture about his HID mod. Yet, I would like to know more like where to mount the HID conversion kit as well as any problem may happen on rainy day or snow one. I got HID conversion kit for my car before, and I had to drill hole thru the front metal structure body of the car to mount the kit.

RyanQ,

I see that you are in Minnesota. What city? Do you own an ISF?

Sorry, a little off topic.

If you want something a little cheaper and easier, I just installed the Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs in my Fogs.... they are pretty darned good. Easy install.

If you install an HID kit properly you won't have anything to worry about. I would recommend Xenon Depot since you're scared cause it has a relay on it and it connects straight to your battery.

There have been a few members here who have installed an HID fog kit, me being one of them. It was not too difficult, you just have to have a bit of patience and experience in doing something like this before.

I will have DIY up soon for everyone... Sorry I've been slacking.

That's cool but I have been looking for rear LED lights instead and nobody has figured this out yet...

I don't think he wants anything cheaper if he's worried about messing with a $60k car. I would NOT put cheap parts on a IS-F.

Who said it was a cheap part? It's a xenon match bulb. Had it on my M3 for 5 years without it ever burning out or causing any problems at all. Looks very similar to HID without having to do any conversion at all. Just plug in the new bulb and off you go.

Ordered the H11's from this link. http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm

The picture at the top of that page shows you what the color change is. I've had good luck with their bulbs, and absolutely NO mod required. Just plug and play. I would have gone with their bulbs for the DRL's and Parking lights, but I really liked the LED look, so I went that route.

The install for the Fogs is really easy. This it the DIY I used. We don't have the cover as far as I can tell, so you end up taking both fender covers off.

hah what's the big deal, just HID, doesn't matter if your car costs 2 millions, it's just simple wiring job.

Go do it, I don't think i'll ever own a car without HID fog.
