When was the last time your stomach visited your throat?
For me it was last Friday...............
I took my car in for service at Lexus of Glendale but failed to make an appointment. It was an emergency because I needed a new front tire which was so bad that threads were poking through and I coupled it with a 30k service.
Since I didn't have an appointment there was no loaner car available for me.
The service manager and service/parts director felt bad about this (30k is a big service) so they tossed me the keys to his personal company car - an IS-F. My jaw dropped open like this --->
Once the initial shock settled down, I realized I had an IS-F all to myself. Unsupervised. No salesperson. No Lexus representative. Just a girl in an IS-F with a few hours to kill.
I decide to run a few errands in Woodland Hills, Malibu and Santa Monica....

I start off on the 134 west freeway which has a great onramp as it is straight and unobstructed which is perfect for a 0-60.
Geeze this car is fast, you don't realize how fast you are going.
After a quick sushi lunch at my favorite place in Woodland Hills, it's back to the 101 freeway and the best way to cut over to Malibu is through the canyon.
Yeehaw!!!!!

I had a couple observations.
First is how much I LOVE the exhaust! It's hard to believe that's a stock exhaust. The roar is awesome.
I found myself purposely pulling up next to anyone who had their windows rolled down at stoplights just so I could startle them while taking off. hehe
Do any of you IS-F owners do that or is it just me?
Other thing I noticed was it didn't have air cooled seats, just heated seats. I started getting warm from a combination of leather and heart racing so I automatically reached down to set the air cooling **** but it was missing.
Thanks to Shawn Wells and Michael Ojaghian.

Here's a pic of my cohort Jruhi4 from my.IS with Scott after we finished those hot laps!
BTW, that's the dual stage intake roar (@ 3600rpm) you're hearing from the inside, not the exhaust.

what's the name of the sushi place you go to in woodland hills?
and if you still have the car and need to make another trip out to malibu, take mulholland to stunt road. the coolest smoke break spot is at the end of the canyon where you see planes landing at LAX just past the ocean. perhaps you already knew that. one side = view of pacific ocean / crenshaw and the other side = a view of the san fernando valley.

Good for you AsianGirl!!
What a wonderful experience and glad you enjoyed it. Most importantly thanks for sharing it with us! (ok I'm jealous, there I said it )
I've never even driven an IS350 cuz I was afraid I wouldn't want to get back in my IS250. So tell us, how was your ride home when you got your car back?
