Default IS-F Seats

Guys - I'm very close to pulling the trigger on an IS-F but the one thing that's holding me back is that the seats seem to be too small/tight for me. The side bolsters are TIGHT. Yes - great for the track but for daily driving? I'm a pretty big guy - 220lbs and after about an hour long test drive, my ribs were borderline sore. Anyone else have this issue/concern? Is there a solution? Do they break in? Thanks guys ... if I can get comfortable with this, I'll be joining the club.

I hate to admit that I weight that much but you'll get used to the seats. I've been in the car for 10 hours in one day and it's fine.

I'm 6.0ft and 210lbs and the seats are great for my taste, actually I found them more comfy than the seats in my previous car, a GS450h (which were killing my back after a couple of hours).
Worst case scenario, I'm pretty sure you can swap the seats for standard ISx50 seats, I'm sure you will found a happy ISx50 owner willing to make the trade and give you some cash with it !

My brother complains about the seats sometimes too. He is somewhat of a widebodied person but I think in the long run they are more comfortable than a seat without the support.

The only thing I hate about the seats is that they offer NO lumbar support.

Huh? There is a separate switch for lumbar, did you try it? It's fully adjustable and works very well. It's also memorized for the personal settings.

I can understand where you guys are coming from regarding the seats. I have a normal build and it already holds pretty tight!

I am a big guy too and I felt the seats were too tight and I only test drove it for about 20 mins. I was thinking about pulling the trigger on an '08, but man those seats.

Do you guys get premature wear on the bolsters?

I'm only 5'8" 150lbs and I find the seats jsut right. I can only imagine you guys are crammed in there... there's not much room in the cabin as it is for even me!

I'm 5'11" 190 and the seat/back hits me about right...properly snug without feeling cramped. If you're on the edge comfort-wise, the seat should conform over time to a better fit. Oddly enough, it was this issue (and seatbelt rub) that steered me away from a G37 coupe. The thigh bolsters are too aggressive (and squats don't help ) making the seat portion uncomfortably narrow.

As far as side bolsters go, I always scuff the outside bolster because I'm not very careful in entering/exiting the car. I'm trying to rectify that with the F.
