Default New Lexus: Matador Red Mica IS-F

Hello everyone, I just pick up my '08 IS-F yesterday night, Matador Red Mica with Nav and ML, I'm moving from a '07 GS450h (for sale...).

The Matador Red Mica color is just so beautiful in person, none of the pics (not even mine) does a good job capturing the glitter and depth of this color, this is imho one of the best Lexus color.

So far I cannot be happier with the car (120 miles since yesterday), the power is definitely there, easy to access, the VIDM in sport mode is great, allowing a little tail happy driving, just what was missing from the GS.

I guess there are really good deals to be had with the IS-F theses days, I got mine $700 above invoice and I couldn't believe when the finance guys though in the "lifetime free tire replacement" option for $1895, little did they know this car chew tires like there is no tomorrow !

First a clear bra and a tint, and then we will see...

Okay, time to get some more gas and go see that Palomar Mountain Road...

Default Nice Color Combo

Lookin good!!! CONGRATS!!!

Can't wait to see it tinted, I have mine clear bra'd it's GSM/BLACK combo and got 5% tint in the back and 35% up front, I really wanted 5% all around but in NorCal and the LEO's already don't like the missing front license plate(lol), so I don't want to give them any more reason to harass...know what I mean?

After a couple weeks, would you mind to make a comparison between the 450h and the ISF (acceleration, suspension, MPG, etc.)? I also was going to get a 450h, considering its acceleration (supposedly same as ISF) and comfort features but, after seeing the trunk I leaned to the GS460. At the showroom I saw the ISF and tried it "just in case" and finally went with it. But I know I gave up on the comfort (OK for me but not really for my passenger) so I am looking for comparisons for owners of both.

I am amazed you got $700 above invoice, I suppose the 09 model is coming soon? Like with iPhone, early adopters have to enjoy higher prices...

Thanks.

And I forgot to say I am absolutely amazed the dealer offered you a "lifetime free tire replacement" option for $1895... It's unbelievable since changing all four tires once cost that much and can be anticipated to be every 8..15 K miles for most.

Congrats!

I got a pretty good deal on mine, sales are slow, so hold out for all you can. $700 over invoice is a good deal.

What's kind of cool is getting a good deal on a car that really has some exclusivity to it. There's only a few thousand of these in the whole USA. There are probably 5-10 times as many M3's on the roads.

Just curious what tires you got and what part of California?

That's a very rare color on the F. Great deal! It's much easier to get a deal for one that's been sitting on the lot. FYI from my buying experience, you'll get the most discount on red, black and silver that's on the lot. The dealer is most reluctant to discount on the blue.

sound like the 5 year plan. don't forget to get your alignment done at the dealership once a year. they probably didn't tell you that. that's nice they threw it in, especially if you like to take it to that dealearship every 5K.
