Default Are you happy or disappointed with the IS-F numbers?

I personally am disappointed unless the C&D numbers are more accurate. This car has 116 more hp, costs almost 15 grand more, and has a 5.0 V8 and can barely beat a stock 335i. Even if the C&D numbers are more accurate, they're not that fast compared to a 335i with a procede chip. so for 13-14k more money you dont get much more. anyone else think the same?

IS-F vs 335i
IS-F 335i
0-60 4.7 4.9
1/4 mi 13.2 13.4
price 64000 50000

C&D isf numbers
IS-F vs 335i w/procede chip
IS-F 335i
0-60 4.2 4.4
1/4 mi 13.7 12.8
price 64000 51500

everyone gets so into acceleration numbers...its easy to make a car go fast in a straight line... rather wait to see what it can do track wise rather than just drag strip wise...

I am very upset with the numbers - especially the dyno #'s 333 at the wheels ? ? The M3 will def be the winner here - ya 20% loss but 333 is a shame, this was made evident by the 350 v. f drag race - its not that much faster . . .

3 car lengths in a 1/4 mile is not that impressive . . . i would call that a close race . . . 2 - 3 car lengths in a drag race = the person with better traction off the line imo

that was a typo. i meant 12.7 vs 12.8

it looks like more than 3 cars from this shot, the IS-F slowed down at the end so they get much closer after this point, i think the IS-F is much faster than a IS 350 from the drag race and its not a slow car by any means. but compared to the 335i it doesn't seem that impressive.

i dont know where the people got the numbers for the M3, but if a 335i is putting up such numbers im guessing the real test numbers for M3 will be much better than people have been saying.

I'm neutral on the issue as far as the IS-F numbers. Why is the 335 even in this mix? A modified 335 will own both the M3 and IS-F and even a C63 with enough mods(single turbo upgrades etc...)

I'm very disappointed if the $60K base price is correct. The other numbers are about what I expected based on what I already knew about the car. I'm happy that the review of it's handling was favorable. I'm a little bit confused by the disparity in acceleration numbers obtained by the different reviewers. The Car and Driver numbers are better than I expected while the others are not as good. I suppose if you take the average, the numbers seem reasonable.
