IS-F vs. Corvette
Looking for some feedback on which one to buy. My wife doesn't like the looks of the IS-F. I like the rarity of it compared to the Corvette. I know it's early to speculate, but can the IS-F hang with the Vette? Who would buy one car over the other and why?

The 2008 Corvette will have 436 hp with the optional performance exhaust system. The Corvette will have wider tires and better traction. It will also weigh considerably less than the IS-F. There is no way an IS-F will beat a Corvette 0-60 and unlikely it will be able to keep up in other areas either, stock vs stock.

Okay, what are we comparing here?
The 2008 Z06 is about $70K and 7.0L V8 or the "base" 6.2L for about $45K? I'm not sure the pure 0-60 numbers, but I believe Z06 is 4 flat, while the previous 07 6.0L Vette was 5.7. The IS-F really is in the middle of the two and the est. price of $60K shows this.
As for which I'd prefer, I'm on a Lexus site right??? I'd rather drive a "small" sedan that I can push around a little easier through traffic, than a speed demon with a fat butt.

if you are talking about the Z06 then its no comparison, but if you are thinking about using one of them as a daily driver, the IS-F would be the better choice as it has more and better features, plus it is after all, a LEXUS!

Our Project C5 is 3150lb and 350hp and e46 M3' are toast so with that being said, I have serious doubts a IS-F can hold a torch to a C6. Nor is it intended to, go with the IS if you need the space, if not C6 all day

Yeah, apples to oranges for sure. To break it down:
IS-F:
If you need a premium luxury car that can haul 4 with sport and performance.
C6 Z06:
If you want all-out best performance for the dollar and willing to compromise on refinement, comfort, daily drivability and build quality.
Porsche 911 GT3 997:
If money is not an issue and you need the all-out best performance street race car with all the luxury, daily drivability and refinement of a Lexus.
