Default Canon 20D, meet IS-F...

Every time I see this car, I like it more and more. It's just so damn aggressive. On a related note, I've never encountered a car that photographs so poorly. Pictures truly do not convey the aggressiveness of this car. It's really intimidating, and looks fast standing still. This time, though, I just so happened to be trying out a buddy's Canon EOS 20D... Enjoy! Oh, and one last note - in a conversation with the Lexus officials, they mentioned that the release date has been pushed back to Spring 2008 - more waiting...

In the 3rd picture... It looks like the hood doesn't fit properly.

In the 4th picture... The hood and the bumper look huge.

But I still want one.

Nice pics Javy.
They need to put adjustable bucket seats for the F series.

The hood isn't completely latched in the 3rd picture.

Great pics Javy.

BTW, the hood latch on the IS-F has been broken since Toyotafest. That car is about to be retired as 3 new IS-F in different color combos will be air shipped shortly.

Most all handbuilt pre production prototypes are destined to be crusher cars. Sad but true. This particular car is a show car not to be driven only. Imagine the number of times this car has been started and revved and shipped all over the world doing the same thing over and over again. The seats have definitely showed signs of wear since Detroit.

i noticed that when the hood was closed, it looked flush with the body fenders and bumper but was still wobbly. like the latch would lock it. that explains it. also the engine cover did fit well over the engine. like the oil fill hole didn't line up right with the actuall oil fill.

i'm guessing they'll be red, white, and ultrasonic blue.

as good a the two-tone int looks... for anyone thinking about it, take a look inside the driver's seat of it, especially the left side where you would entering and exiting the car. can you say you can keep that clean after you've driven it for two weeks?

Yeah, that engine cover is actually a painted fiberglass cover which is obviously hand made for that specific car. They always do that for their first handbuilt cars...including the LS460 that Lexus gave us a special sneak preview to some of our local members back in early 2006.

The seat obviously is not great with a new pair of blue jeans...it's something I first pointed out at my first encounter with the car in Detroit earlier this year:

There was evidence of that in the IS-F as you can tell the person driving the vehicle was wearing blue jeans.

That's because IT IS!

The hood (whole front of the car) was changed to accomodate the bigger engine bulk.
