Default PPE Headers rubbing/grinding

I had my local race shop install my new PPE headers and how I have a rubbing and grinding sound while taking right turns. Has anyone else ever had this problem with the PPE headers before? They have had the car for a few extra days and they say they cant seem to find the cause of the problem. It rattles on a pot hole, it grinds on right turns and sometimes vibrates on highway cruise control driving.

Looking for some tips or suggestions from anyone else who may have had these problems with their installations.

Thank you.

I don't think there have been any fitment issues with PPE headers.

This is the first I've heard of that

I think this was common on Sikky headers, but no reports of anyone with PPE having this problem.. Time to go back.

I have brought it back to them. I am working on my own answers from maybe one of you that have experienced this.

Could it have anything to do with the fact the sub frame has to be dropped, and maybe it wasn't put back on correctly?? IDK just throwing that out there...

Have had my headers on for a year now with no issues. I have had to readjust my Borla to address a couple of rattles but no rubbing.

I hear nothing while at idle and cold start, no rubs, no grinding, no sounds at all. The engine bay shakes pretty good at cold start and you would think it would make a sound when it starts up if it in fact was the headers themselves. Leads me to believe that it must be either the sub frame, the steering box or possibly something went wrong while doing the wheel alignment afterwards.

Anyone else have some thoughts?

Sounds like a suspension or sub frame issue. Possibly loose bolt(s).

I would have them check all the bolts, nuts on the sub frame, control arms and steering rack and anything else they may have removed.

I have this happen after I had an oil change and 20,000 mile maintenance check up at the dealer. The tech noticed a hanger that was either a loose or not connected and put a bolt in it connecting it and every time I turned leaving the lot in rubbed. I brought it back in when they put it on the lift you could see a small piece of metal hitting the header or the exhaust I forget which. It took him about 30 seconds to modify to fix it. If I remember correctly I believe it was on the driver side. Never happened before the appointment and hasn't happened since

I've had my PPE headers for over two years, never had any issues.

Just a heads up that I found the rubbing and grinding. After the installation, the headers have shifted my ISS Forged DES exhaust down a little bit and the elbow on the passenger side exhaust pipe is rubbing against my drive shaft. I will have to get someone to take a crow bar to it and bend it to make it fit so it don't rub and grind...

Just wanted to clear the air for any PPE lovers out there, its not the headers, and they are amazing! Just a tight fit with ISS Forged exhaust...

none of the available headers have rubbing issues. PPE, Sikky or Novel
