This is the screw behind the rubber curtain. It seems to adjust how flush the moonroof sits with the roof.
It's a torx screw. T25 to be exact. U can DIY if u roll the windows down and u can put a little pressure on the moonroof and tighten with your other hand, or u can get an assistant. But tightening the moonroof slightly down puts a little more pressure on that black plastic that sits to the rear of the moonroof. This piece was the cause of my rattle when the moonroof was closed.

Still waiting for someone to make a carbon fiber glass replacement to eliminate all the weight in the worst place on the car.

I agree I have had 3 cars with sunroofs 2 rattled 1982 firebird and now the ISF they are useless in Australia its hot 90% of the time, and the car would be more ridged without them. Going to investigate the screws and rubbers

I had the same thing. They replaced the seal around it and perfect . Bottomline is the ISF is based on the cheapest lexus at the time . It's not going to age like an LS

I have opened my sunroof maybe a handful of times over the last 5 years or so of ownership. The last time being maybe 3-4 months ago. When I closed it it was leaking so much air I got scared and was thinking maybe the motor died or something! After opening and closing it like 4 times I applied extra upward pressure when closing and it sealed properly. I'm not touching it ever again and would be very interested in a carbon glass replacement as mentions above!
I honestly wish I had no sunroof as I never use them and they seem to be trouble as vehicles age.

HEY I got rid if my rattle,it was only over sharp bumps sunroof closed all I did was clean the rubber with wd40, and stick a strip of self adhesive felt ( or soft Velcro )on the top of the pop up wind deflector. My noise was very sharp metal sound but its GONE.
