Default Looking to buy an IS-F : A Warning on one out there!

Just thought I'd post this up for anyone that might be searching for a used IS-F and stumble onto this forum. There is an 08 Matador red on eBay for $23,990! Sure its a rebuilt/salvage but it looks as if the seller isn't disclosing its crash history details. I'm not arguing that it is not repaired; it could very well be 100%.....I'm just stating that this car was hit very hard and the description in the auction discloses very little. Buyer Beware!

"Replaced the bumper, fender, hood, headlight, and grille"
eBay item number: 301082860883

A friend of mine saw this car at the auction in OK....it was far from a "light" hit. Here are pics still online. You be the judge:

If you looking to but an ISF get a 2011 or above. Its comes with move features you'll appreciate in the long run.

I emailed and text the seller last night just to inform him of what I know ... Not a word back. Be careful on this one...that $23,990 price is going to hook someone.

Sent him a message about the F, he replied...

"Crash wasn't that bad no frame damage"

That's terrible! Someone is going to end up with that car and on the forum asking all of us questions about vibrations, thumps in the steering and who knows what else. Hopefully I'm wrong and they repaired it 100% but even still that was a hard hit and the deal seems shady!

It's pretty obvious from the photos there was frame damage.

It was a total loss. I am thinking about buying it. What specifically should I look for when I go check it out? They have sent me more pictures and repair orders. They also have another ISF that they've used for parts on this one. I'm sending one of my friends out to check it out before I travel down. He is an insurance claims agent who will be specifically looking to see if the unibody rails were replaced or just repaired. What else should he look for? I'm not too worried about it having a rebuilt title as long as it was fixed right

Not really trying to sway you but I have dealt with this type of title before. God forbid you get hit or even have a slight collision with this, any insurance company out there will total it again and won't give you near what you paid. If your ok with this go for it but wouldn't want to see you in a jam if it were to get hit. Even if it it was repaired by the Lexus factory it still has the salvaged/ rebuilt. Good luck.

That car will never run correctly regardless of how well it was repaired. Not to mention like fasttexas said if you get into any kind of collision the insurance company will probably screw you. This car looks to be a money pit and a headache.
