Default ISF wald spoiler help!

Hey guys so I just bought a rep wald spoiler and its being painted as of now but, I was searching through the forums and saw that people say that our cars wings are bolted on. So I was wondering if anyone in socal or any forum member can key in on how to remove the oem wing and install the new one, 3m tape, adhesive, bolts. etc. thanks!

I just researched from what Joe Z said and then found a picture of an OEM spoiler - the rest is up to you to figure out - but I would imagine some fishing line to break the 3M tape and then a bunch of time on clean up to prep the surface for the Wald.

From Joe Z in 2009

Down the center of the IS-F spolier there are a total of 7 holes..

There are two holes for a threaded bolt & nut on the ends.
While the five in the middle are snap in style studs, which lock into a clip.

Plus there is double sided tape along the edges...

The wald spoiler will cover it all..

Jz

You probably want to cover up the now exposed holes, with some vinyl tape to prevent water infiltration.

Pop up the liners inside your trunk lock, , there are 4 screws, use magetic screw gun=drill to take it out and also cut the 4 plastic lock tab. Use painter blue tape around the oem spoiler and spray on Goo gone let it sit for a few seconds. Then using any thin unsharpen edges to loosen and microfiber towels under neat the plastic object to keep prevented from scratching. Moving slowly as u go, u might need another person to help u with. Its time consuming but it worth it

It's nothing to really worry about. As others have mentioned, there are a total of seven holes, but none are too difficult to unlatch. What my shop did was use a hair dryer to soften the double sided tape, making it easier for removal. If this is a DIY, then getting an extra pair of hands will make things a lot easier. There won't be any bolts for the WALD style, but definitely put as much double sided tape as you. I'm not sure about the replica, but should you need to remove the "L" as well, the hair dryer and a fish line or some sort of thin, pliable surface remover. Best of luck! Post pics when you're finished.

3M makes a stripe off wheel that can save you a lot of time and headaches removing the old spoiler foam tape, that may remain stuck to your trunk.

pretty easy to remove. takes about 15 mins as long as you have heat gun/hair dryer

it was a huge pain for me; my spoiler is in the second picture digger08 posted.
goo-goning the adhesive tape w/blow dryer and some dental floss was not the problem..the plastic locks with bolts were the pain. you have to be angry and chew those plastic lock tabs up. (maybe I'm romanticizing my recollection of the spoiler removal...)
