I don't have any rattles besides the straight pipe occasionally hitting the back of the exhaust diffuser... regardless I slid underneath the car and snapped a pic to make sure my donut gasket was in there...

u should have reused the spring bolts, they are better and wont lossen up on u later.

The springs aren't there to keep it from loosening, they're there to keep the bolts from breaking under repeated thermal stress.

The owner of the rig in the picture is really introducing a great opportunity for failure by removing the springs.

I guess the spring goes between the rear exhaust section bolt and the pipe.....only issue is that the bolt may not be long enough

When I got the straight pipes done I noticed that one side sits adjacent to the lower quad tip, and the other side sits adjacent to the higher one. The welds look good, but this isn't a problem right...

I think my straight pipes were cut just short enough not to actually touch the tips upon moving. About those springs, I'm not sure what you mean by them not fitting the bolts? They worked fine with and without my donut gasket and kind of provide a bit of give in that section which you need.

Edit: Unless those aren't the stock bolts?

^^ After comparing with your pics, mine don't look like stock bolts. I'll take pics of the springs and bolts that was put in the box when I get a chance, those were the proper ones I think. I hope these hold up til my 30k service, which is in a few 1000 miles.

I wouldn't worry about 1000 miles, but I'd put them back in. Takes 2 minutes.
