I F'ed Up :)

I would like to see this happen. Not sure I would track my car but I would go and watch. I went to summit point for my first time last weekend with brother in law and raced in their karts, that was a blast. Also saw some cars racing at night that was sick!

I remember seeing your post of your car for sale, man that thing was sexy! How much did you end up selling it for? If you don't mind sharing. Wish i could purchase an F of my own. But I just recently purchased a new 2011 IS250 a couple months ago. Well keep us updated on your search! and Mods of course

If you are looking at an 09 GTR you can always have nissan hook up a consult III to it and pull a log, it will tell you how many times the car has been launched with LC1, LC2, how many times any of the fluids have reached certain operating temps. Service intervals change based on how hard the car is driven, ask for a FLICKR print out, it will tell you if any of the temps went over 280 degrees and for how long. It's only like $125 bucks for them to pull the log . LC1 launches will be listed under " VDC Off Stall Starts" in the consult III. The problem AFAIK is only with the cars that were launched repeatedly with LC1. If you are worried get a 2010 they never came with LC1. Or save up for a 12' and LC4.

Do yourself a favor and visit www.nagtroc.org and read the threads under "Transmission" for more info the on the GTR, and decide from there. $100 says you will make up your mind and stick with the IS-F after reading through two pages on those threads...

Wow I can't believe you want to come back to another F so soon!? Here I thought I was bad having owned a car once for 8 months before trading up. If I were in your shoes I would hold on and see what 2013 brings. If its not that much different then pick up a used 2012 with all the goodies.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing you around in another F when the time comes.

I'm with Infinus here. Many of the tranny issues on NAGTROC these days are on GT-R's that are highly modified, or the tranny has been modified itself to carry the extra power some of those guys are running. I haven't seen any (out of the norm) issues like the early 09 transmission problems in quite some time. Regardless, you are going to love having an IS-F again, and will enjoy the modding!
