Default My 1 of 1 Cement (1H5) IS F

I was looking around on Google the other day, and was happy to find a very specific threads on my vehicle here, and here. I'm the owner of the only cement Lexus IS F delivered in this factory Toyota color. There's a long story about how the vehicle was painted this color and I purchased it from the original owner, who sadly passed away about 2 years ago. This is my second IS F, had a 2008 but the most special vehicle I've ever owned. Some asked about it having red/yellow pin stripes down the side, in another Club Lexus forum, which this vehicle does. The previous owner was a Marine in WW2 and the Korean war. As an homage to his service, he had the pinstripes installed shortly after taking delivery. I wanted to thank whoever originally posted the article about this, since I was looking for some information now that it's original owner can't answer those questions.

I'll post some pictures of it cleaned up once that happens. I also try to get some pictures of the mods i.e. headers, full exhaust, intake, sound system, etc.

Correct, the specs show it was obsidian. It was taken directly to VIP Auto Salon and painted Toyota cement then delivered. The gentleman I bought it from loved Toyota's cement and said he wanted his IS F painted that color, so what's what he got. They did a fantastic job painting it, and the only way to really tell the factory color is to remove the door panels. Jams, engine area, fender, rockers, everything are all cement.

Love the story and welcome to the forum... I always wanted to wrap or paint my car this color grey or the battleship gray but never pulled the trigger. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thanks everyone ! I wish the original owner was still around but he'd be happy to know his cars still being taken care of!

Question

Glad to see it found a new home...!!!

Still looks super clean for a Nor Cal car.. If I remember correctly..

Are the miles still LOW ??

How's the paint job holding up after 10 years..??

Yeah I try to keep it clean. The former owner always took amazing care of it. We met through Lexus and he loved this car. It’s got about 70k miles which is decently low considering it was his daily. The paint is in nice shape and they did a very good job.

clean for a NorCal car? Never heard that one before. NorCal isn’t generally considered to be hard on cars.

I think he meant that it's clean since it wasn't caught in the wildfires. Or he dislikes NorCal

Is it my imagination or does it rain more up there ??

I mentioned "Super Clean"

I like Nor Cal for the record..

This F may have been well kept in the garage if it has LOW miles.. It's been 10 years..
