Checked the OEM pricing again today, and everything seems to have returned to the previous pricing. Low price for OEM discs is back to $197...not sure what happened for a moment to increase this to $327, but I'm glad to see the Brembo discs available for less than $200 each again.

Just wanted to say thanks for putting all of this brake info together on one thread. I recently got a quote of $621 from the dealer for new front pads (and rotor resurfacing if necessary). Long story short.... I read the thread, bought some OEM front pads from Sewell, put them on yesterday and saved about $350.

Now I'm patiently waiting for that Joe Z intake I just ordered....

Where did you get this pricing? Did you just call your local dealership?

Looking to do front and rear OEM rotors and cant find where to buy them online other than Sewell. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Thanks!

What is the difference in the Brembo discs and the Raybestos other than price? Any chance they are both made in China? And I would assume they are both cast, and not forged.

i just checked swell the front disc are $550 for the fronts and $710 for the rear, where did you get $197?

At how many miles have you found yourselves replacing your brake pads??. My stealership told me I need new brake pads and I'm only at 15k miles. They claim the pads only have .2 left on them. Can someone please chime in? Thanks

My front pads were gone @ 15k miles. You can check the pads, which have a sensor built-in,for yourself. You still have few thousands miles before the sensor start scraping the rotor. Buy the parts and have a trusted mechanic replace them for a fraction of the dealer's cost.

I expected to get more miles out of these brakes...15K miles IMO is not enough..

There's no magic mileage number - it's the where and the who. If you drive in urban areas and/or brake hard, they wear out quicker.

You can save some cash by changing pads and rotors yourself. It's not hard. Do it with someone with experience the first couple of times or print out the DIY as a guide.

You can definitely save a lot by doing it yourself or ordering the parts and having a good local shop do it for 1.5hrs labor. I changed them myself, it was fun and I learned a little about my car in the process.

Just picked up my front and rear brake pads for $418. Not bad but now debating if I should have bought front and rear rotors as well. I was told that I can probably use the same rotors again since im only at 16k miles. What do you experts recommmend?

Only sure way is to measure them. Invest in a pair of calipers to measure how thick they are. You can also use it to measure brake pad thickness as well! But most likely with that kinda mileage, you won't have to change rotors. Definitely not the rears.
