the only problem that i have had with the credit card key is that if the key and phone are in the same pocket, the car takes longer to confirm that the key is in near.

dont forget to take all your other keys. since the card key is not meant for the is-f they have to clear all keys and reprogram them again up to three keys i think thats all they can do to one car. good luck!

I asked one of the Lexus techs if the card key can only be paired with a car once....he had no idea what i was talking about.

Where can i get that info?
Why cant the card key be reprogramed to another car after it was paired to a different car?

cost of key from sewell was around 230 with the extra battery, and it cost .5 hours of labor to have it programmed. so all in all i paid a little less than 300 for it altogether. couldnt be happier as the key will not slide out of the pocket like the iphone does so no more worrying about it getting stuck between the transmission hump and the seat.

as for part number its 89904-50641.
Thanks for all your help. The card works great. My dealer wouldn't even order it till i was sure it was the right part number.

Purchased the card from Lexus of Rockford ILLINOIS because they matched Sewell's online price ($191), and Mcgrath Lexus of Westmont did the programming (because they were the cheapest...$30)

Lexus of Rockford told me that the part number I listed earlyer in this thread was not listed for the IS-F, and that the key once ordered was not returnable.
I took the chance after talking to one of the of members on this forum. (Thanks Archie)

Programming only took 30mins.

Glad the key card worked out for you I have had mine for about a year now, only problem I have is a shorter battery life (6-8 months). But hey considering the size of the battery I cant complain. I just keep a spare in the glove box ($2 per battery) for an emergancy.

sorry to bring up this old thread but wondering if any person is willing to take a picture of the backside of the fob with the ID tags. I just want to confirm if I have the same fob type ID.
