I read some thread here and it seems that everybody changes oil at ~1K. I was planning to hold till 5K. Now it's about 2K (since March). Should I rush to the dealership to change oil? Does anybody else wait(ed) till 5K?

I waited till 5k. Lexus said that was enough. I was very shocked but I have had no problems whatsoever.

Has anybody switched to the Royal Purple Synthetic?? Can somebody fill me in on what the Purple Synthetic motor oil is, and why you should use it???

Has anyone done there own oil change yet, and if so does the ISF use the same oil filter element as the IS350?

mine is at 1047 miles since feb. and im probaly going to wait til it hits 2k to change it. i dont drive it much so im assuming it shouldnt be that bad.

I'm at 6700 miles. I had oil changed at 1000 and 5000 as those services are free. Car's running great.

i wait till 5k. the engine hasant even broke in at 1 so whats the point...plus you shouldnt even be driving the car hard till 3... but the purple synthetic oil, it supposedly dyno'd to add 5 hp to your car...but its really expensive so i dont even know if its worth it.

i had my first oil change at 3 k but it was a yr. not your average 6 months, i dont drive my car much.

I haven't heard of the 3k break in before....

I only have 400 miles on mine and I plan on having it done at 1k then every 2k miles, just personal opinion
