Default Going from 2013 GS350 to 2015 IS250c?

I have wanted a convertible for a while. Kids too young etc. Ready for a convertible. I have had three GSs back to back on 3 or 4 year lease deals. So I am kind of over this car and no longer get excited about a new one. Spoiled...I know but it is a lot of cash to not be excited! If I go to the IS250C I am giving up quite a bit of power. I really only use that to get on the interstate and to dart across the street. Looking at BMW now too but that just doesn't seem as comfortable as my GS or the IS. Plus the seats are not a/c and I live in Texas. The Infiniti was nice for power and driving but too small in back seat. Struggling to justify the loss of power and the more expensive lease cost on the IS just to get the convertible. The GS lease is cheaper than the IS 250C. IS350 just too expensive to justify. I am so confused. Any of you switch from GS350 to IS250C? Thanks!

I drive an S2000 and everyone including me loves being in the convertible. If we didn't have one already our odds of getting a Lexus convertible would have gone up quite a bit. She was almost only looking at cars with a folding top option. You may not use it as much as the car ages, but you will still use it.

I like the IS over the GS. And the IS 250C is a good looking car with the top down.

Don't base your decision on the cooled seats on the IS... They really don't work that well - you can barely feel any difference when they are on. They blow air thru the perforated leather. No cooling functionality. If u have the AC on hi and set to the footwell, you will feel a little of that cool air being picked up by the seat ventilation fan, but not much. It's one of the few disappointments with this car. :-(

I own a 2013 GS and a IS350C. Here are the down sides to the ISC.

1. The radio SUCKS. There is no other way to describe it. Its the most awful radio that has ever graced a car. How bad is it? Go sit in a new chevy spark with no options, turn on the radio. That radio is superior to the Lexus radio in the ISC. Seriously.. If it doesn't have Levinson sound, RUN AWAY!!

2. The seats are "ventilated" not cooled. In the summer time when its warm, the seat ventilators aren't enough to prevent back sweat. (fair warning)... also in the winter time, if you decide to drop the top, the heater won't run on full blast with the top down. I have no idea why.

3. No triple flash turn signals (seems small, but they're nice to have in the GS)

Other than that, I would recommend sticking with the 350 over the 250. But thats just my $0.02.

Good luck with your purchase!!!

I can't tell you on either as I have the 350. But I'd like to welcome you to CL and keep us informed on whatever you decide.
Oh, I heard that Lexus is now offering leases on CPO vehicles? Maybe you'll get lucky and snag a nice 350?
Cheers.

We had a 250C. Great car except for lack of power. The 250 barely gets out of its own way in the sedan; in the heavier convertible, it was painfully slow.

I would recommend 350C.
