Default Rear deck rattle with top up - TSB?

Anyone else struggling with a rattle that seems to be coming from the rear deck when the top is up? I already had it to the dealer once and they said they fixed it. Drove it out of there and the rattle was back immediately. I swear they must not have test driven the car after they thought they had the rattle fixed or they would have known they failed to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Take it back and go for a ride with the tech, make sure you drive on the little dots on the center lines and it should make the noise.

If you are sure its rear deck lid, I can't offer any suggestions. There is a known rattle above the passengers head, more towards the window. Had mine in under warranty and it was fixed with a simple adjustment. Hasn't come back in nearly a year. Try taking every thing out of the car that isn't bolted down-including the spare, tool kit, nothing in the glove box, arm rest, under seats etc. Cars have very strange acoustics and it can take forever to pin point the problem.

It's not the rear deck. It sounds like it. There is actually a bulletin on how to fix it. A quick fix would be to add tension to the j hooks on each side of the 2nd panel. They are hidden behind the plastic trim. That's more then likely then problem.

I had the rattle on the drivers side between the windows. They fixed that, now my rear deck rattles. I give up. I'm going to go buy a more powerful stereo.
