Unhappy Replacing Low-Profile Tires?

Hey folks, I've got a question about replacing my tires. I've been a proud IS C owner for the last 4 months or so, and I'm loving my new car! That being said, I'm having one serious problem. That is I've had two bent rims and flat tires just in the last 4 months, presumably as a result of having the low-profile tires.

A bit about the wheels & tires:
I believe they're 19-in Alloy Wheels, though they came with the car, so I'm not totally sure. The front tires are listed as 225 / 35Z R19 88W

The car is a 2010 IS350c.

So my question is this, without replacing the wheels, is it possible to use tires that would be more likely to prevent rim damage? Anyone have experience with these rims/tires?

Thanks in advance!

Do you know what width your wheels are? if you dont know it, you could try a wider and taller tire. Maybe something like 235/40/19. what are your rear wheel specs?

Since it appears you are at a stock ride-height, you can probably get away with some 225/40/19s without rubbing. 235/40/19s would probably rub on hard cornering (taken from other members comments running that size) :

If you have had two bent rims maybe it's time to get some different rims. Or drive slower/avoid potholes.
