I think a lot of the look has to do with the placement of the rear wheels. It'll look better if the wheels were pushed towards the rear of the car about a foot. I personally think it looks better in the live shots (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=33) than on the promo shots.

But hasn't anyone notice the upside of this car?? CarScoop reports that the IS350C will come standard with a 6-speed manual! (http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/10...-high-res.html) Seriously, if that's the case, then to ask those MT fans out there, isn't this the answer that you were looking for? You wanted the IS350 engine with an MT and here you go! And if they can make the transmission work here...

transplant an IS350 with the transmission anyone?

Highly unlikely.

The cost to develop and mass produce a properly matted manual transmission to the IS350 (especially on the convertible alone) will be far too costly.

Perhaps they were talking about the Bimmer or G37...

That's hands down the best looking Lexus since the original SC. I can only hope they offer it in a manual. My Wife might let me sell our SC300 5sp and get one.

Maybe I am in the minority here but I think this thing looks utterly and completely disgusting. I can't believe they are so far behind competitors, only to come out with such a horrible product. I was VERY enthusiastic and optimistic about the future of the IS. But at the moment I just see this as an inferior competitor to the E93.
Perhaps Lexus can win me back with the coupe version

You aren't in the minority. I was checking out all the comments at Autoblog and 95% of them are negative. That rarely happes for any car debut. It's not looking good.

No one else, including Lexus, has stated the IS350C is going to happen. I think CarScoop made a booboo.
