Ouch...
Well maybe once the RC's end up in more salvage yards we'd be able to grab these for a more reasonable price.

Do we have the correct part numbers for the LSD itself? I want to see what my employee discount would be on it through the dealership.

it seems they don't sell the lsd by itself, im sure there is a way to get that part alone.

i believe this is it

I'd get the diff for the sportier gear ratio alone (I am not sure if it is)

I wouldn't really be concerned about the LSD. These cars are too soft for that.

I imagine though the ratio is the same otherwise the RC350 w/ this option would need different EPA fuel economy #s as surely cruising speeds and acceleration would be different.. could be wrong though. Too lazy to hunt the ratios. can someone find it?

That would be ideal. Problem with lower gear ratio is that it messes up with the transmission logics on automatic vehicles. They had great success on 2IS manual but just not on 3IS, unless you have a tuner than knows how to program the logics. LexSense have done this his vehicle and he is having problems with the transmission shifting at random points.

My research came up with all the same #'s you folks did and I just won an RC350 housing complete with LSD for $300! Yippeeeeeee!

Only concern is words say RC350 RWD F-sport with LSD but the housing is finless like my 2IS.... hopefully it is the 24270 and all is well. Now to find a 4.08:1 donor gear and housing to reduce downtime....
Lucky day to look. PS housing took some abuse and has busted forward mount hence price...

Negative on that captain...
2IS.... Build and parts are the same tho except the the variance with the actual ratio... I'll leave link here but there will be a tear down and LSD carrier installed in a used 4.083:1 2IS housing. It seems timing is everything but once I get all the parts I'll document it. I've done like 30 gear setups and if I find a good used gear at least I don't have to set the pinion depth in a new case. Just preload and backlash on the LSD carrier swap.

I'll keep you guys...
