I find it improbable that it isn't electronic; these days, it's all that way. I can only speak of the "alpha" revision of it as updates for it are taking a while because the ECU is ridiculously complex. The engine holds boost up until about 5000 where it tapers off; my current power band is 2500 or 3000 through 5000. I suspect this is because it is a small turbo with a small displacement engine. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but this is all one pull.
