Default Help! Can a 2is takeda intake fit the 3is?

I know question comes up a lot but just making sure. It should all fit accept for the heat shield? And what's the difference between the 2is and the 3is intake?

no different just the mounting position thats why it won't fit the shield but u can mod it.

Yes it will fit but the rubber hose might need some adjustments (needs to be a bit longer in the 3IS & have stronger clamps). Luckily, I was able to find a replacement at the local pepboys

2IS intake will fit the 3IS, majority of them will anyways.
like someone has mentioned only the one hose going to the pipe should be extended but it can reach and be held in place by hose clamp instead.

The mounting point for the heat shield is the same as well as placement of motor in the engine bay. for the most part the front end and Engine bay carried over from the 2IS to 3IS.
They share the same front end suspension. springs and strut and brakes are all interchangable.

A majority of the 2IS intakes changed their fitment to include the 3IS including Takeda and Injen among a few others.
Other companies like AEM are just for the 3IS. Can't confirm whether or not this intake will fit the 2IS but we know the Injen and Takeda successfully fit but the 2nd and 3rd Gens.

Also - Takeda and GReddy are the exact same intakes.

they used the same engine in 2is and 3is , difference is the suspension between 2-3 IS, the all new 3IS is 200T, compared my 2011 IS350AWD to my 2015 IS350 F-sport except suspension i don't see or feel any different.
