Do i need to skip an oil change? or go at 5k miles?
So my 2014 lexus is 250's odometer is at 39500 miles. I got the car with approximately 5000 miles on it from the dealership (who changed the oil before selling it). The last full synthetic oil change that i had was at 35000 miles. I noticed in the dealer handbook said i need an oil change every 10,000 miles so technically my last oil change would be at 45,000 miles. Is this ok? I noticed that the dealer handbook said that i should do it at 40,000 then 50,000 then 60,000 (so on and so forth) . or does this not matter?
Thanks in advnace!

Oil Change is every 4k miles approximately 5000km or 6000k , i don't know about dealer but i use Synthetic Mobil 1 every 4k miles, it does not matter just use your Trip Odo and keep track on the mileage, in my opinion changing oil every 10,000 miles is not good for your Engine. maximum 5000 miles.

I guess it depends if the dealership changes the oil as part of reconditioning.

Lol.. I don't get why ppl change their oil every 2k.. 4k.. like why. Its a Lexus, not a nascar.
But for OP, yes change oil every 10k.
So you bought the car at 5k & dealer changed oil. Your next one will be at 15,25,35,etc.
But, if you're OCD and want to follow the factory maintenance plan. You COULD change again at 10k, then follow the factory plan.
