Please help on rim replace option
Hi All,
I need to replace all wheels on 2014 IS 250 AWD and I have confirmed with dealer that front is 18x8 and rear is 18x8.5 . I have looked Niche and the only rear they have or most sellers have is 18x9.5. Could you guy please tell me where should I buy front 18x8 and 18x8.5? I have checked SSR and they have all sizes, but only one problem: the offset. For example, front I need 18x8 and 45 offset and rear is 18x8.5 50 offset. However, SSR has front has Offset 35 and rear Offset 48. In addition, I do not even know what " Hub φ73×H41" means.
Original Front Wheel info: ALY74288/74343 Lexus IS200t, IS250, IS300, IS350 Wheel Hyper Silver #4261A53290
Original Rear Wheel info: ALY74289/74345 Lexus IS200t, IS250, IS300, IS350 Wheel Hyper Silver #4261A53320
Please kindly help and thank you very much.
( I hit a road curb when road covered snow, and I am very upset about repair fee)

If you are going to buy new aftermarket wheels, you don't need to stick to 18" wheels. You can get 19" wheels too just to be clear but you'll have to invest in new tires. Since you are starting from scratch and there is no way for me to know your wheel design interests, the best starting point for you is to check out Tirerack. Here's a link specifically to 18" wheels that fit your IS 250 AWD:

I just check my front and rear specification,
front 18x8, 45mm offset, 60.1 Hub bore
rear 18x8.5 staggered, 50 mm offset, 60.01 Hub bore,
I have found some tires with same offset and size, but the HUB bore is a problem now! how should I solve hub bore issue if new wheel has larger hub bore ? buy a centric ring? Please really advise.
I need to buy a perfect pair asap, so I can drive to work. Thank you for you help

Yes, hub centric rings are the solution since aftermarket wheels have a larger bore than Toyota/Lexus 60.1mm.
If you buy wheels from most wheel shops online or otherwise (amazon too and they ship fast), they sell them and typically include them (sometimes at a minor cost ~20$) when you specify your vehicle (like at Tirerack for instance). Don't worry too much about whether they're plastic or aluminum (pros and cons to both) but most importantly to get a set to ensure a smooth drive and most importantly to ensure the load of the vehicle is properly transferred to the bore (axle) of the car and not the 5 lugs on the hub.
Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help. I think I have found the correct pairs to purchase. I think the following rim will fit my front 18x8, 45mm offset and rear 18x8.5 50mm offset. The only problem is those Raijin rims have 72.6 centric bore but 2014 IS250 AWD has 60.1 mm centric bore, so I would need to purchase a 72.6 OD to 60.1 ID ring. So, all of them combined together will replace my factory rim perfectly. How would you think? Thanks.
oh oh oh, regarding backspacing, Raijin has 6.27" backspace but I do not find backspacing for factory wheel. However, if offset matchs, diameter and width match, I think backspacing is same? I assume. Thanks a agin

You're a fast learner. Yes, the backspacing is a result of the offset and width of the wheel and that information is inconsequential in this case.
So everything looks good - wheels and rings. Go ahead and order. Enjoy your new wheels!

One last question, the factory wheel has 29 lb each, but Raijin has 20 lb each. Is Raijin strong enough to hold the vehicle's weight and 4 passengers. In other words, can Raijin with 20lb weight each function exactly what factory wheel with 29 lb does? I was thinking 9 lb missing will cause its stability. Thank you again.

The 9 lbs less per wheel will not affect its stability or ability to carry the weight of the car with passengers. However you may want to avoid those big potholes and any rough railway tracks, you don't want to bend your new rims.

Hi fliang...congrats on the new wheels. The fact that they weight less is actually a good thing. This reduces the unsprung weight of the vehicle...without getting into a lengthy description of unsprung weight, trust me it's a good thing.

Thanks for the help. I have purchased new rims, which I really did not want to purchase because they are really not my expected expenses. Anyway, I have researched unsprung weight, and I understand the idea now. Thanks again. If you are in Seattle, I would like to buy you warm coffee.
