Default Windshield Washer Fluid?

This may seem like a stupid question but do you guys refill the windshield washer with anything? My washer is low to none since they never topped it off a few weeks ago when I had the 5K maintenance. What do you guys use? I used to use Rain-X and whatever I found in the gas station in my Mazda. Not sure if Lexus needs anything different?

I mean water should be fine?

Weird, whenever I "mist" the windshield, it seems like there is some sort of cleaner in the water. Comes out all bubbling and soapy, has been like that ever since I got the car. Not sure what my dealer puts in it?

They probably put in some generic Toyota windshield washer, but anything I buy always comes out too thick and bubbly for my liking.
I always do a half/half mixture of water and any windshield washer.

Hmmm.. unless you go to freezing temperatures.
But some washing fluid additive should have a lot better cleaning abilities than regular water.

I'm always on empty because I squirt tailgaters so much with it. Use cheap stuff, for squirting cheap people.

I worked for 11 years in a lab at a factory that made and tested these products. Most of them were 90% water, 9% alcohol and 1% soap.

I suggest switching over to rain-x all season windshield washer fluid (the orange colored one, since it has freezing point at -25°f). I live in Michigan and the blue stuff is garbage and always gets frozen during the winter

Prestone or Rain-X, but make sure you pick up the windshield washer fluid that can handle anything below -20°F

I wouldn't use those rainX orange washer fluids, they were known to cause problems. Many people have stated in the past after using it, their sensor started to clog and then completely failed.
