Default What is the best brand coilover I can buy?

Currently running RS-R down Springs on me 3IS, looking to swap to coilovers soon. Any opinion or suggestions on what I should buy?

Best is dependent on usage and your price bracket. Personally, I would get the Greddy X KW or ST coilovers and call it a day.

KW is best if u track ur car. I just got RS-R i-sport for my daily, and trying to sell my f sport set. for me f sport is good enough for daily and a lil performance. but i need my car to go lower and softer damper when my gf drive it.

I've ran Buddy Clubs on my past car and have Teins on my Lexus. Would recommend either of them.

Teins or Greddy is pretty good (if you track), but if a daily car then you're sacrificing a lot of comfort and ride quality if switching over to coilovers. From my experience, I find the ride very stiff on my previous cars and that lead to back pain. If you've never ride on coilovers before, you need to weigh out the pros and cons.

Pros:
Adjustable height
Better handling.

Cons:
Cost. Ride quality. Vibrations.
They will need to replace/rebuild after ~50k miles, depending on daily road conditions.
Your tires will wear out quicker.
You may have alignment issues. Most of the time they wouldn't be within spec. Hence, the faster tire wear.

The Greddy/KW coils should be good. Both are very good companies, so a collaboration between the two is good. The greddy/KW coilovers are based on the ST line of coilovers so they won't be too aggressive. I'd wager just perfect for every day use. If you wanted something for the track, i'd get a KW V3 or similar level coilover.

RSR coilovers would probably be good as well.

I'd stay away from any of the cheap coilovers made in taiwan/china.

I would recommend the RSR Sport I set for your lexus. I ran the FSPORT springs for a month and was never sold in the drop. I then switched over to the Coilovers and could not believe the ride comfort, better then stock and the ease of adjusting the dampeners. Here are a few pics of the FSPORT springs and then the Coilover setup. FSPORT springs
Coilovers. No rubbing, smooth ride.

Coils make a car look sexy at the cost of a smoother ride and vibrations. Always a double edge sword
