Question about Joe Z install
Hey guys, first of all, I had my Joe Z axle back installed professionally and wow, not sure why anyone would not do this! It's amazing! Such a beautiful hum. Even in Sport+ mode, you can hear/notice the tranny working out the gear ratios more prominently. Sometimes even faintly hearing the gargling and popping sounds while down shifting. LOVE IT!!
However, I have a question about the install. I am noticing some new creaking sounds under me when I go over speed bumps, specifically on the right side. I remember the guy tightened the nuts tremendously (yes, he used allot of WD-40). But is it possible to tighten it so much that it's pulling the connections to the cats, the headers (what have you) that it's putting stress on the other joints/connections? I'm thinking to go back there so the guy can do a once over and check it. Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
Btw you all are crazy for not having this exhaust already!

Take it back I had my Xforce put on by a good exhaust shop and they still stuffed up it hit in 3 places, when I picked the car up I said did you take it for a drive and the cocky old bloke said what for it fine, now I am a mechanic 40years in the trade, and I test drive every car I work on, go figure. so 2 visits later the simple bolt on Xforce was fixed never again with this shop OGALVIES MORUYA NSW in the land of OZ. CHEERS BIGEARS. Hey I forgot to mention it sound fantastic

He used WD-40 to torque the bolts? That shouldn't have been necessary in a normal installation. Did he install new nuts? Did he torque to spec?
To answer your question about over-tightening, yes, it's possible to decrease the life of a fastener by exceeding the intended torque range. This could possibly separate the connection between flanges but this wouldn't result in a creaking sound, it would more than likely cause the seal/gasket to not seat properly which would result in a leak.
Either way, I'd take it back to the shop and have them look at it if you're concerned about it.
