Not at all. Did your dealer say that? Again no. Factory remote has very short range and costs more than 3rd party ones.

Do you work at Lexus of Calgary? I installed a iDATAlink HC2 kit myself on RX hybrid.. It cost less than 300CAD. 2way remote with 3000ft range. One extra one way remote.
13 wires to connect. 2 hr job. SURELY it won't affect factory warranty. This is officially, legally so.

Apparently for vehicles equipped with Enform, there was no aftermarket setup that could coexist with the factory system. Since it's been about a year, anyone know if this has changed yet?
Most of dealers outsource remote installation. They seldom has in-house installer. Always look for MECP instller to be sure. Visit iDATAlink or Fortin, look for HCx or EVO-ALL. They are software(firmware) based module which takes care of remote start. alarm, etc. Just make sure your car is compatible from the chart. Firmware can be upgraded when update comes out.

I had my Blackvue installed by Lockdown in Markham, but I hear good things about Jeff at Audio heaven In Richmond Hill. I'll be getting my remote started installed by him when it goes on sale.

Btw, do you need the remote starter and the key fob to work the card or just one device? Someone told me just one remote starter to work the card but I am sure my keyless entry requires the fob key to work.
What do you mean when you mention card?
