Base US spec '14-16s had HIDs. Cars equipped with the premium/fsport/luxury package had LED.

I dunno, actually think the 2017 Corolla headlights look better than these, should have at least offered the triple beams as an option.

Ahh.. So basically base model IS will have HIDs.
HID does burn brighter, no?
LED last longer?

A lot of automakers these days are learning towards LED's like Mercedes where their S class is 100% LED.

I think the refresh looks great. The headlights don't bother me.
I had the LED headlights in my IS (non F Sport) and did really like them.

Exactly how I feel the refresh is so much sexier then the pre refresh.
