The 2017 IS is HERE!! Finally got to see one in person.

Gotta admit the face lift does look pretty good. The rear tail lights, IMO, I don't like how it sways down. The diffuser looks nice, but I prefer round exhaust tips vs the flat ones.

Inside its more or less than same. Steering wheels got more buttons because of the LSS+ that comes standard. Functional cup holders a plus. I can live with or without the 10in screen tho.

Oh that's great news! Which dealership did you go to? I stay in Northern California....a dealership here told me they'll be in by November end.

I'm a technology specialist at Putnam Lexus, Redwood City. We only got ONE in inventory so far. Its a 200t non-nav Fsport ~43,500 MSRP, from the looks of it, it a little more expensive than its 2016 counterpart. I think its because of the LSS+ system.

But, there should be more coming within the next couple weeks.

Goodluck! Nightfall Mica is probably going to be one of those rare colors. But, I'm almost certain that NightFall Mica will not be offered in the FSPORT. The only blue would be USB.

Yup, I know! I just hope I can get a good deal for it. Else I'll consider the 2016 IS 350 F-Sport.

If your interested in the 2016s and If your in the area (Bay Area), come by Redwood City's Lexus. I can introduce you to the Sales Manager and I'm sure he could give you a good deal on the 2016. We still got lots in inventory.

2017 wise Idk.

Keep in mind that the 2016 has about half of the LSS already...

BSM, RCTA, PCS, High Speed DRCC.

The differences with the 2017 is that it comes with an additional LKA, LDA, and ALL speed DRCC.

Yup, but the safety features in the 2016 aren't standard, right? I'll have to buy some package which includes them. The 2017, in contrast, has all the safety features (old and new) standard on all IS models.

True, Lexus states that for 2017 it is standard. But, from what I see on the MSRP stickers, the base price is slightly higher than what it was for 2016. My guess is that Lexus makes the LSS+ standard, but the base price of the car might be higher in order to balance out the cost.

For 2016, BSM and RCTA comes together, PCS and DRCC comes together. Each package is roughly 500-800 each I believe.

I see. The MSRP for 2017 is around $500 higher. That covers the standard safety features I guess.
