2017 Lexus IS Official Product Info - No Triple Beam Headlights
See the info here on Lexus official pressroom site.
http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...ifications.htm
I didn't find any info regarding triple beam headlights in this product brochure. And they have specifically mentioned the twin projector headlamps in FSPORT package.
So after RC, GS, it seems now new IS in USA will most likely to enjoy the premium experience of round round projector front headlamps and super nice state-of-art halogen turn lights
Take a closer look here https://lexusenthusiast.com/2016/09/...is-is-f-sport/
I was thinking of replacing my 2008 Lexus is with this new one but now byebye. These turn signal lights are uglier than my 2008 IS.
Updated: Let's just not blame Lexus. I have found the probably cause. check this out. http://jalopnik.com/we-can-t-get-the...gov-1729310906 This is for RX
No, I’m just kidding. What actually happened was I went inside and asked one of the Lexus people about the turn signal situation, and they told me that U.S. government regulations don’t allow for the cool turn signals, so we would have to make do with regular old boring turn signals instead. That one with the fancy signals? It turned out to be a Euro-spec car on hand for foreign journalists.
I can see from the picture that the front and rear led turn signals are much smaller than the regulated size in terms of 'single bulb', and I think that's the reason why Lexus can't use this set of lights, which include the tripe headlights in USA.
and btw, that's why we lost all the cool amber sequential turn lights on pretty much every german car who has it. (yeah.. I might just move to Canada..)

I'm disappointed too, I honestly thought that will come
witb triple bean headlights just as the first release of the face lift back in April when they unveiled it, if they don't come with a better design for the next generation I won't be buying another Lexus either.

Lol damn. Agreed that this NA refresh is disappointing. I really liked the look of it when it had the triple beam headlights. The grill and headlights aren't as aggressive on either the F-Sport or regular IS now. Although the tech features that come standard now is quite nice.

That's right.. Although 3rd IS is using halogen light, which is a little disappointing but not too much in 2013, still has some design in its back turn signal. (an extension of its dual L shape tail lights). This refreshed IS is probably implementing its turn signal lights in the worst way - absolutely no design, feel like they just want to find a place to put its square frame and don't even bother to at least make it fit.

Me too. It is even more acceptable if there is no such lights design in the first place. I can't imagine a company would do this in its most important market. They are just saying "buy the car or fxxx off. We don't care"

^would literally be impossible, short of highly destructive modification. Since the uptick is likely built into the LED lenses, probably absolutely impossible.
