are you turning it counter clockwise?! even if it's on super tight, a breaker bar should do it no problem...

You should get the oil clamp in addition to the ratcheting tool. I find it's way more solid (when I used to work on cars).

Pro tips below...That thing is torqued on there at 250ftlbs.
1. Get a F-type filter wrench
2. Remove the little cap on the botton and drain the filter, it takes a 3/8 if I remember correctly (you do not have to do this but it makes things cleaner
2. Use a flashlight and LOOK at the filter there will be a mark on it with arrows telling you which direction is off and which is on
3. It will NOT be easy to remove use a breaker bar, a long one or a 750 ft-lbs impact wrench.
4 Don't put it back on with an impact wrench, use the breaker bar.
5. Enjoy saving $$$$

Are you serious? That seems insanely high to me..
I'm surprised that it doesn't snap off the entire housing from the engine..

Cant tell if your serious or joking lol.

250 ft lbs 750 ft lbs HOLY CRAPOLLA. What one off IS is this? Heck what kind of filter needs 7 x times more torque then an average lug nut.

I am taking my IS350 for the free services and then to my buddy Son at Dynamic Auto Services after the freebies. I would only hand tighten the oil filler cap and then use a filter wrench on the oil filter. I would give the filter wrench 1/4 turn or less.
